Psalm 5
David cries and prays in the morning to our Lord. In prayer David reassures Himself of God’s character.
- He does not take pleasure in wickedness.
- He does not dwell with evil.
- He does not let the boastful stand before Him.
- He hates those who do iniquity.
- He destroys those who speak falsehood.
- He abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
David would like protection from those who are seeking to destroy him. David encourages the lover of God to take refuge in Him and be glad. They should sing for joy in the shelter of God. While in the refuge of God glad and singing with joy they will find the multiplied blessings of God and His mighty shield that protects them.
